My gas heat turns on and back off. ..What can I do? - simple comfort 2001 thermostat
I have a simple thermostat Comfort in 2001 and had my heat set at 75, but she is now 70 and the heat is on for only a second and then turned right back. What can I do to resolve them quickly, to be 14 degrees today and I have two small children?

TSTAT replace the batteries if you have .. "Colten Mom" is correct, but it is a relatively simple problem, the new gas-fired boilers, could take care of that ... Sense if the flame is dirty corroded / needs to be cleaned by wiping with a keyboard or steel wool ... Scotch-Brite of the detector is a thin rod called metel 2 "or 3" long sitting in front of the burner and attached a wire to the back or bottom. .. usually on the opposite side of the pilot burner has 2 son by him ... Is the thermostat on a battery? You may need to be replaced.
